MEGLAND comprehensive college was established in 1994 by Pastor Emmanuel Madueke as a co-educational commercial institute (MEGLAND Institute).

The major focus was to train students in secretarial and commercial subjects.

With time and in accordance with national and state policies on education, the school metamorphosed into full pledged secondary school with the inclusion of arts and science subjects. The Junior and Senior Secondary Schools also became operational.
